anyone can cook is free for everyone! but, it actually does cost money to run and i want to be transparent about that.
the expenses as of june 30th, 2025 are:
- domain registration: $14.18/yr
- server costs: free
- database costs: free until we reach a certain number of recipes, users, images
i am able to cover this myself, but a lot of people have been asking about if there will be an app downloadable on the app store or play store. i would love to make a downloadable app, but unfortunately it costs a bit more money to publish apps on those platforms.
- apple app store: $99/yr
- google play store: $25 one-time fee
i'm very glad people have been enjoying the app so far, and i appreciate all the feedback and support!
